Sometimes the writers will cut off a series at the most intense moment in order to get people more interested in the next episode.

But if the wait is too long, the fans get angry with impatience. The series Fire Country has not been on air for too long, but it has already managed to hook many viewers.

The story of a young inmate, Bode Donovan, who joins the firefighting program to redeem himself and reduce his prison sentence, won over fans with a rich plot.

This time, however, the viewers seem to be unhappy that the writers left a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode that will only be resolved a few weeks later.

The event at the end of last week's episode has the potential to be a game-changer.

After a terrible forest fire in the previous episode, the heroes try to find out who the serial arsonist is and come to the conclusion that it is ... Jake.

One of the heroes turning out to be a villain was the last thing fans expected. But there is reason to believe that these are not baseless allegations.

In one scene, Jay confessed to a young firefighter that he set his room on fire on purpose when he was a kid. We then see Sharon telling Manny that investigators believe the serial arsonist is a firefighter.

Bode's mom claims that Jake not only fits the profile – he is the profile.

For the next few weeks, viewers will have to live with this kind of fascinating information. And the fans really didn't like being left in limbo for so long.

"Really?! Really?! This is how we are leaving it?! With Sharon confiding in Manny that she thinks Jake fits the profile of the arsonist. Nope. I don't like this," Twitter user ladysnightpod said.

While some viewers have already become disillusioned with Jake, others believe that the writers are deliberately misleading fans and that Collin is the real arsonist.

"Not buying that Jake is the arsonist. I actually think it's Collin. He was asking about Bode before, now inquiring about Jake. He has a rebellious past. Collin been too eager since he joined. Something's off with him," Twitter user BlazeNMyOwnPath commented.

Whoever of these two turns out to be the criminal (or maybe it will be someone else?), one thing is for sure, the next installment will completely change the trajectory of the series and the relationship between the characters.

Viewers will be able to find it out on March 31 on CBS.
