Brooklyn's finest certainly know how to make the holidays memorable.

For Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Thanksgiving is a time of celebration and appreciation, but it also features pie thieves, turkey attacks and flaming fax machines.

The show has delivered some unforgettable moments over its 8-season run, and these episodes made Thanksgiving both chaotic and iconic.

5. Ava - Season 3

This episode marks the first time Boyle dressed up as Tommy Gobbler, and he is full of energy and attitude but things take a painfully funny turn after he finds out that he has to deliver bad news to a family, whilst in his turkey costume.

‘Ava’ also marks the first appearance of Terry's wife, a heavily pregnant Sharon, who goes into labor while at the station awaiting Terry's return, forcing Jake to step in as her "God husband". Adding further chaos to the day, the precinct's internet goes down, forcing the squad to do their work manually, resulting in Hitchock and Scully setting the fax machines on fire.

4. Lockdown - Season 2

Captain Holt and Terry leave Jake in charge of the precinct while they attend an event, and it's no surprise that trouble soon follows, as the precinct is locked down on Thanksgiving Eve after the discovery of an unknown white powder. Terry and Holt have to work from Terry's home office, complete with a bouncing yoga ball, where Terry's even taller brother-in-law teases him about being "tiny".

This episode was funny and chaotic, with Jake's lack of leadership resulting in a couch fire and a riot before he finally cracks the whip.

3. Thanksgiving - Season 1

In the sitcom's first episode to feature the holiday, the entire squad gathers for a Thanksgiving dinner that seems to be plagued by disaster. From Amy being a terrible cook to Terry showing his "hangry" side after Boyle ruins his refrigerated food. Fans got the inside scoop on the squad's worst, but also their best traits,.

This episode also served to showcase Jake's brilliant detective skills as he and Holt track down a thief, and gave a deeper look at the rest of the squad, delving into their childhood traumas, especially why Jake hates Thanksgiving, and ultimately bringing them closer together.

2. Two Turkeys - Season 5

In the final Thanksgiving episode of the series, Amy and Jake's families finally get together for the holiday, and things don't go to plan. At first, ridiculous bickering and stubbornness on both sides threaten to ruin the holiday, as well as Jake's dad cutting off his thumb while competitively carving a turkey, but the parents eventually bond in a truly magical holiday way, a Thanksgiving miracle.

In the same episode, Captain Holt launches an investigation to find out who stole his pie, hilariously enlisting the help of Hitchcock and Scully, and Boyle makes his second appearance in the Tommy Gobbler turkey costume, this time getting his tail stuck in the elevator.

Just like a turkey, this episode was stuffed, full of funny and wholesome moments as Jake and Mr. Santiago band together to solve an old case, embrace feminism together, and Jake earns Mr. Santiago's respect. Season four's Thanksgiving not only sees Jake bond with Amy's dad, but the squad is chased around by the live turkey Boyle bought with the intention of making dinner.

Does it get any better than that?

The answer is yes, because the episode immediately starts with the squad doing impressions of Captain Holt eating a marshmallow.
