Bridgerton’s Luke Newton Gets Wholesomely Candid on Relationship With Previous Lead

There is nothing like the show with the cast that just has the chemistry to go beyond the simple publicity. While it's always nice to see the cast get together for interviews, podcasts, and events, nothing beats the real interaction between them outside of work.

It just goes to show how healthy the atmosphere on set is, and how little chance there is of someone unexpectedly dropping out halfway through due to "creative differences.

Though not every fandom is lucky enough to have this bond between the cast and crew of their favorite production, Bridgerton's certainly is. There is no shortage of social media interactions, behind-the-scenes photos and videos, and mentions of each other between all the actors.

And now that the SAG-AFTRA strike has finally been settled, and now that lead actors Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan are allowed to have at least some say in the show, fans can expect more of the same.

Jonathan Bailey Steps Up As The Older Brother

In fact, in his recent interview with GQ, Luke Newton praised one of his castmates for being a great help during his struggles on set.

There is a lot more pressure when you step into the shoes of the lead character on the Bridgerton set, and no one knows this better than the actors who have already been in that position, Phoebe Dynevor and Jonathan Bailey. While Bailey admits to taking a lot of notes from his predecessor, Dynevor, he's also willing to pass them on to Luke Newton.

“I think what's been really special is that I could've been easily overwhelmed with all of this but we've been so looked after. I've watched actors like Jonathan Bailey navigate his way through leading the show which has helped. When I'm feeling anxious about it all, I always contact him: he's always had some really good advice for me,” the actor said.

Considering that Luke Newton's Colin Bridgerton is only the third of eight Bridgerton siblings, all of whom will get their own season, the collection of advice would certainly be appreciated in the future.

As of yet, there is no official release date for Bridgeton season 3, as neither Netflix nor Shondaland have made any statements. Keep an eye out for the premiere date and other news and behind-the-scenes updates.
