Bridgerton Star Finally Spills the Beans on Season 3 Release Date
All we can do is trust the viscount’s word on this.
Summary:
- The TV series Bridgerton, produced by Netflix and Shondaland and based on Julia Quinn’s book series of the same name has already released 2 seasons.
- Now the viewers are longing to see more.
- Season 3 is already shot and ready to air, yet the studio stays quiet on the potential release date, as well as the starring actors.
It seems that viscount Bridgerton, in real life known as Jonathan Bailey, has a lot on his plate these days. From promoting his latest TV series, Fellow Travelers, to attending numerous events, it's hard to imagine how hectic life can be for an actor who's had such a resurgence in recent years.
After the success of Season 2, in which he took over the lead role from his on-screen sister Phoebe Dynevor and starred opposite Simone Ashley, he became the new official face of Bridgerton in the eyes of many fans. Although he won't be at the center of the upcoming Season 3, viewers believe he's still the one who has all the insights into the production.
And right now, with all of Bridgerton's official accounts, as well as Netflix and Shondaland's, remaining silent on any Season 3 updates, the actors are the ones under attack.
Jonathan Bailey On Bridgerton Season 3 Premiere Date
The actor was asked to comment on the upcoming and one of the most eagerly awaited seasons of the show while sitting down to record an interview for Radio Andy. The answer he was able to give, however, didn't really satisfy the viewers' need for clarity.
“It could happen any moment. But no, I think you’ll definitely get at least a 4-week heads up,” Bailey stated.
Although some fans prefer to keep an open mind and believe that there is a deeper meaning behind the mentioned ‘4 weeks notice’, the majority isn't so hopeful. Considering how carefully the answer seems to be worded, it seems like he's either obliged to keep quiet about it or simply doesn't have a clue about the release date himself.
And if it's the latter, at least he's in the same boat as the rest of us, relentlessly searching for clues and answers.
Season 3 of Bridgerton will focus on the love story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, portrayed by Luke Newton and Nicola Coughclan, with Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley returning in supporting roles.
The release date remains a mystery, although it was previously speculated that the December 14, 2023 date leaked earlier this summer was the one to look forward to. The lack of promotional material now makes Bridgerton fans doubt this idea.
It was also speculated that Netflix and Shondaland were forced to push back the premiere due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, but even after the strike was officially settled, there were no updates.
Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes news and important updates on the upcoming Season 3 of Bridgerton.
