Regé-Jean Page is best known as the breakout star in Bridgerton for his portrayal of Simon Basset in the Netflix period drama based on the book series of the same name authored by Julia Quinn.

But before hitting the bigtime as the hottest star in one of the most critically acclaimed series of recent years, Page was actually in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. And nobody even noticed.

Now, that may well be down to the fact that he had an uncredited role as a wedding guest at the marriage of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour.

If you look closely, you'll see him standing next to Hermione wearing a dark shirt and a look of concern as the Patronus arrives to inform guests that the Minister for Magic is dead and the wizarding world has just taken a turn for the worse.

Since his brief cameo in Harry Potter, Page truly has gone on to do great things. After several TV roles, he landed the part of Captain Khora in the 2018 movie Mortal Engines. And his portrayal of Simon, Duke of Hastings in Bridgerton saw him awarded the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NACCP) Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, as well as the IMDb STARmeter gong for Best Breakout Star and the MTV Music and TV Award for Breakthrough Performance, all in 2021.

Science Has Spoken: Bridgerton Star Is The Most Handsome Man in the World

And he made it onto the Times 100 Next List which recognises influential rising stars across industries around the world.

He's also gone on to host an edition of Saturday Night Live and will star in the upcoming D & D film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves as Xenk Yendar.

After a relatively quiet opening few years of his acting career- that included that bit-part role as a wedding guest in Deathly Hallows – it's fair to say that the Regé-Jean Page is now firmly established on the world stage and will have plenty of acting roles and appearance requests coming his way over the next few years.

Not bad for a kid who took up acting as a hobby while at secondary school. And it's worth noting that things didn't just fall his way. He failed his first audition for Drama Centre London and, as we know from his part in Harry Potter, had to work his way up taking smaller roles before being spotted. But, boy, hasn't he done well since then?
