Bridgerton Is Having The Softest Of Launches For S3, Yet Netflix Keeps Quiet
Don’t be shy, tweet a date, so fans can rest assured.
Ever since season 2 of Bridgerton was released and binge-watched by the majority of fans on the same day, they started wondering about season 3. Of course, everyone knew that it would take some production time to bring the story to their screens.
Besides, there was already the idea of Queen Charlotte's spinoff, which added to the length of the hiatus. The show premiered on May 4th and was quickly well-received by both critics and viewers, but even the most well-written spinoff could never fill a Bridgerton-shaped hole in the hearts of the audience.
The good news is that right now, Bridgerton fans are closer to a release than ever before. In fact, they are pretty sure they already know the date and have it marked in their calendars: December 14.
The only problem is that Netflix remains stoically silent, neither denying nor confirming their speculations.
The date was first mentioned by an official Netflix Portugal account during the TUDUM event in Brazil. In a quickly deleted tweet, the account leaked information about the release date, which fans still believe to be true. The news was then picked up by several media outlets, including a recent mention in Glamour magazine.
When discussing the release of another historical show, The Buccaneers, the magazine stated the following:
“The first three episodes of The Buccaneers will be available on November 8, 2023. From there, new episodes will drop weekly until December 13. Wow, just in time for Bridgerton season three's release on December 14!”
Not only the media but also several movie and TV platforms have picked up the date and now have a countdown based on December 14th. The only question is: Did they manage to get a credible confirmation from the network itself, or are they counting on the same leak that the majority of the fandom is?
While some Bridgerton fans are so tired of waiting that they choose to believe that they'll be reunited with their favorite characters on December 14th, others are not so easy to convince. Some fans refuse to believe and hope for anything until they see an official statement from Netflix or a tweet that won't be deleted in seconds.
Either way, if the information about the early winter release is true, Netflix will have to come forward and start officially promoting the season pretty soon. So if you don't want to miss anything important, keep an eye out for more news or behind-the-scenes updates!
