Brendan Fraser Showing Up to The Mummy Screening Is The Most Wholesome Thing You'll See This Week
Brendan Fraser always does his best to please the fans. Sometimes even when off the set.
Such as when he showed up to a screening of The Mummy in The Prince Charles Cinema, London, on 20th January 2023, wearing the exact same costume he wore in the movie.
And the public was loud in their approval, both the audience in the cinema – well, that is understandable, even in a prestigious cinema meeting the main star of the movie you're about to watch is not an everyday occurrence, whether he wears his costume from the movie or not – and people in the comments.
A recording of Fraser's surprise appearance was posted on YouTube:
Brendan Fraser was praised both for the effort he put into his appearance, and for his humble manners, spending more time on thanking the audience than on talking about the movie.

The fans were especially appreciative for Fraser's gesture, because he only recently recovered from a long depression, caused by a disastrous divorce and other scandals, as well as from health problems (Fraser had to undergo several major surgeries, as the result of damage he suffered due to performing many stunts personally).
Whether Brendan Fraser would be able to recover his career as well remains to be seen – for over ten years by now he only played in various relatively obscure films, and more often in minor roles. Killers of the Flower Moon, a Western crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese, due to be released this year, is by far the biggest recent project with which Fraser had been involved, and he still plays only a supporting role in it.
His appearance on the screening, however, revived the clamor for another The Mummy sequel. After all, as some of the fans say, if Harrison Ford can get another Indiana Jones film at his age, why Brandon Fraser cannot return to battling supernatural threats as Rick O'Connell?
(Though given rumors spreading on the net about the plot of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the fans should be more careful about what they wish for.)
All in all, we can only wish Brendan Fraser full recovery in every sense of the word, and an opportunity to play in an actually good sequel to The Mummy.
