Breaking Bad Star Ready to Join MCU Under One Crucial Condition
Bryan Cranston considers joining Marvel, but the man has his standards: he doesn’t want a “frustrating and boring” experience, so he has one essential condition.
Despite his career being a rather long and fruitful one, Bryan Cranston is mostly famous for his lead role in the record-breaking AMC series Breaking Bad.
Much like his equally-famous colleagues, Cranston is eyeing the possibility of joining a major superhero franchise — after all, this is the most prominent movie segment now.
But unlike most of the other big-name actors, Bryan Cranston has already voiced his demands in advance — or, rather, his one and only condition for joining the MCU.
The actor doesn’t want to be one of the superheroes; instead, he prefers good old villainy.
But that’s not even the main point: his villain has to be a really smart and evasive one, able to give whatever heroes will go after him the run for their money. Otherwise, it’s a no-go for Cranston who considers alternatives insulting.
“I want to play an antagonist a fraction smarter than the protagonist, never dumbed down to give the hero an easy win. That’s frustrating and boring to watch,” shared the actor.
We can wholeheartedly agree with Bryan Cranston on this one: there’s nothing more dull and pathetic than a villain that can’t really stand up for themselves.
If you’re taking up the life of a criminal, even on the screen, it’s way better to be an evil genius and not an ill-meaning bellend.
Fortunately for him, Cranston has more than a solid reputation, and he’s quite in the position to voice his conditions even to studios as big as Marvel.
Considering how MCU has already featured the actor’s other show, Malcolm in the Middle, in Wanda Vision, it seems like the Marvel guys are already sympathizing with him either way.
Having Bryan Cranston as an evil mastermind in a major superhero franchise is a surprisingly cool idea, and we’re sure the actor will absolutely nail the role if given a chance.
With the MCU’s reboot, everything is possible, so we’ll be definitely keeping our finger on the pulse to check whether Cranston get an invitation or not.
