Despite its controversy, the movie has all chances to get into the streaming’s top 10.

Netflix ’s weekly arrivals keep replenishing the streaming’s collection of old flicks, and now it’s time for Brad Pitt’s sci-fi horror from 11 years ago to see the light of day once again.

The movie’s initial theatrical performance back in 2013 sparked a lot of heated discussions about whether it’s really worth everyone’s attention, and Netflix viewers are about to give an update with their opinions.

Inspired by Max Brooks’ 2006 novel of the same name, World War Z stars Brad Pitt as retired United Nations investigator Gerald "Gerry" Lane who, recalled to his duty, embarks on a cross-world journey to find a way to deal with a zombie apocalypse that abruptly engulfs the US.

Despite all, saving the world from the zombies whose single bite turns common citizens into vicious creatures doesn’t appear to be Lane’s number one priority, as he strives to reunite with his family after the whole chaos has separated them.

Upon its release back in 2013, World War Z became an undeniable box office success, earning around $540 million against the initial budget of $190 million, yet it still didn’t make it to the critical acclaim. To this day, the film holds an average score of 67% from the professionals on Rotten Tomatoes, though viewers seem to be a bit more sympathetic, having attributed it 72%.

Still, so far World War Z doesn’t really possess any kind of solid joint opinion from everyone who got to see it, as the movie keeps having its viewers divided on the storyline, yet many coincided in their praise for Brad Pitt’s performance that somehow contributed to a new spark of love for the zombie genre.

World War Z can now be streamed on Netflix worldwide.
