Two A-tier Hollywood celebrities actually started collaborating on a film just to make fun of their own personal tragedies — you can't deny, you want that movie, too!

Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt's friendship is among the most iconic in Hollywood.

The two actors have been best pals for years now, and they're not afraid to show it publicly: both of them keep sending a vocabulary's worth of compliments to each other, and they always try to co-star in the same movies whenever possible.

For instance, at the UK premiere of his new movie Bullet Train (which he had Sandra co-star in, by the way), Brad dedicated a fair 100% of his time speaking with Hello! to praising his friend.

The actor shared that Bullock is "like an angel to him" and an amazing friend that would always come to his aid regardless of how busy she is.

It's no wonder that when both of them were going through tough divorces, Pitt and Bullock had each other's backs.

Sandra Bullock filed for divorce in 2010 after learning that her husband Jesse James had been continuously cheating on her, and Brad Pitt's famous divorce with Angeline Jolie followed six years later in 2016 with Jolie citing good old "irreconcilable differences".

While these were definitely hard times for both of them, the friends helped each other escape the dark place many people go to after a divorce.

Actually, Bullock and Pitt even wanted to make a romantic comedy movie out of it, showing a theoretical couple going through a hard divorce!

"Actually, Sandy and I did once try to develop a whole idea of a husband and wife team, who were QVC's most successful salespeople, but we're getting a divorce, we hate each other, and we're taking it out on air as we sell things… That's as far as we got," Brad Pitt shared when talking to Vogue in 2022.

Admittedly, the duo never got the idea out of the early development stages, but it was still there — and we're pretty sure they would've made a brilliant rom-com.

At the very least, this story of another untold story goes to show how crucial good friends are in all of our lives…

And how sometimes, just laughing and dreaming together about something that will never happen can save you from lapsing.
