Brace Yourself For Excruciatingly Long Wait For HotD Season 2
Dance of the Dragons may be tough, but it will be even tougher to wait for it to finally erupt.
Even though the shooting for the long-awaited second season of House of the Dragon is set to begin in March 2023, fans might want to mentally prepare themselves for a long wait before the actual premiere.
It's been tough for fans to learn to spend their Sundays without new House of the Dragon episodes. But as they learned to do it, the skill will be of use for more than a year, as observers note that it is highly unlikely for House of the Dragon season 2 to arrive before 2024.
According to online estimations, the new season won't premiere on HBO until late spring or early summer of 2024.
Fans are divided on the long wait. Some people believe that a good quality show is worth waiting, pointing at Marvel Studios' projects "losing their quality" due to quick production.
Others, however, still remember Game of Thrones season 8 too well, arguing that its quality was highly questionable even though fans had to wait almost two years for it.
House of the Dragon is not the only big show that will return in 2024. Aside from the Game of Thrones prequel, fans are also waiting for new seasons of Stranger Things and Euphoria, as well as (potentially) The Sandman.
The first season of House of the Dragon is currently available for streaming on HBO Max.
