Can there be anything better in a series' episode than a good old cliffhanger?

The Witcher Season 2 post-credits scene has become Blood Origin's trailer. And now RedanianIntelligence, a website devoted to The Witcher universe, has had a sneak peek at The Witcher: Blood Origin post-credits scene and dropped an interesting teaser for all of us.

The post-credits scene in Blood Origin made even those who know The Witcher world from A to Z puzzled.

The scene in question is a reused footage of Ciri (Freya Allan) from the first season of Netflix 's The Witcher. It shows Ciri dressed up as a boy playing with peasant children in the streets of Cintra. But she's being stalked by Avallac'h (Samuel Blenkin), who is watching Ciri from the very same porch that Geralt did. And mind you, this elf is capable of traveling between the worlds of the Aen Elle and Aen Seidhe. He wears exactly the same clothes as in his previous scene.

The article assumes that "Samuel Blenkin may be Avallac'h in the main Witcher series as well as opposed to an older version, which many would have been expecting."

In Netflix's Tudum article Avallac'h is described as "the young mage" who reacted swiftly to save Merwyn from an assassination attempt, which makes him her bodyguard. Among his other tasks is to help her better understand the monoliths and he indeed finds out how they function. He is also a skilled combat mage, though lacking "the raw power of Balor or the knowledge of Zacaré."

The Witcher's writer Declan de Barra has recently revealed in his interview with ScreenRant how Avallac'h and Eredin are portrayed in the Blood Origin prequel. The team has painted their baby stages when they were rather innocent. "They haven't been corrupted yet, and they become these multi-layered dark creatures in the games and the books and the [main Witcher show]." De Barra explained.

While it is certainly interesting how the storyline will play out for Avallac'h, there's a character from the original series in the spin-off too. It is Jaskier. One may wonder how could a present-day character make it to the show about events, which occurred 1,200 years before the original The Witcher world. But the character was introduced to bridge the prequel with the original show. Played by Joey Batey the bard will be tasked by elf Seanchai to "sing the story back to life", which is certainly an exciting twist.

The live-action prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin is scheduled to premiere on December 25 while Season 3 of The Witcher is currently in post-production and will be released in the middle of 2023.
