The mother of the famous singer is no less of a versatile artist than is her daughter.

Billie Eilish recently made her acting debut in the new series Swarm, directed by actor and director Donald Glover.

The plot centers on a college student named Dre. She's obsessed with pop star Ni'Jah, who was inspired by Beyoncé.

The passion for the artist turned into a tragedy for the student and also forced her to face violence. Eilish played the role of a hypnotherapist to whom Dre turns in the show.

The singer's character manipulates people, forcing them to commit dangerous acts.

However, few people know that Billie has been involved with acting since childhood – her mother, father and brother Finneas are actors who have also appeared in several high profile and even cult projects.

Billie's mother, Maggie Baird, played the role of a casting agent in The One Where Joey Loses His Insurance episode of Friends in season 6.

Maggie is no less versatile an artist than her children. In the 2000s, she also played the role of Sandra Hicks in Bones, Sharon Pearl in The X-Files, and Andrea Kuhn in Six Feet Under.

From 1994 to 2000, Baird was a member and teacher at The Groundlings, an improvisation and comedy troupe and school in Los Angeles.

While at The Groundlings, Maggie taught and performed with actors such as Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig, and became Melissa McCarthy's first improv teacher.

Baird has done voice work for video games including Mass Effect, Saints Row, EverQuest II, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Rogue Galaxy, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption.

In March 2009, Baird released her debut studio album, We Sail, an eleven-track country album. Baird wrote, produced, starred in and provided the soundtrack for Life Inside Out, which was released in October 2013.

The movie, which explores the relationship between mother and son through music, focuses on Baird's real-life son, Finneas O'Connell.
