Looks like Pennywise is trading in his red balloon for some demon wings in Doctor Strange 3.

Get ready to sleep with one eye open, Marvel fans, because Bill Skarsgard's Nightmare is bringing a new level of terror to Doctor Strange 3! Or at least, that's what the rumors say.

According to some vague online whispers, the film might include the character of Nightmare, and artist Russel Dauterman has released some concept art featuring Skarsgard as the demon.

Skarsgard, who is best known for his role as Pennywise the Clown in the IT films, looks absolutely menacing as Nightmare, and fans are already speculating about what kind of havoc he will wreak in the film.

Originally, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness was set to be directed by Scott Derrickson, who helmed the first Doctor Strange film, and he had planned to make Nightmare the main villain of the movie. In August 2022, concept art featuring the character was released, but eventually, the sequel ended up focusing on the conflict between Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch ) and the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen ), who was under the influence of Darkhold and threatened to destroy the entire multiverse.

Now, it looks like Nightmare will finally get his chance to shine, and fans are excited to see what Skarsgard will bring to the role.

"I can't wait to see what Bill Skarsgard does with the character of Nightmare," says one fan on social media. "I mean, it's not like he's going to be any scarier than Pennywise, right? But it'll be fun to see him try!"

Another fan adds, "I've been waiting for Nightmare to show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years, and I'm so excited that it's finally happening. I just hope it's not too much of a snooze fest with Skarsgard as the lead demon."

So, get ready for a wild ride (or a not-so-wild ride) as Bill Skarsgard's Nightmare brings a new level of terror (or lack thereof) to Doctor Strange 3. We can't wait to see what the future holds for the Marvel Cinematic Universe...or at least pretend to be excited.
