Big Bang Theory Unfairly Robbed Us of Its Most Perfect Friendship
How satisfying can it be when something that you thought would never work turns out to be so good that you can't get enough of it?
That easily applies to one of The Big Bang Theory 's storylines, that involves most controversial characters (excluding Sheldon, of course).
Yes, we are talking about that one-time true bonding of Amy and Howard.
For six seasons, they simply coexisted in the same gang, sometimes making jokes about each other's flaws.
Like Howard mocking Amy about her lousy sex life with Sheldon, and Amy in response expressing disgust at Howard's poor womanizing skills.
But that all changed in season 7's episode 3 titled The Scavenger Vortex. It's the one where they were all paired up to participate in Koothrappali's scavenger hunt.
So Sheldon was paired with Penny, Leonard was partnered with the bossy Bernadette, and that left Howard and Amy together. And then an unexpected thing happened right in front of us!
A true friendship has blossomed out of what could have been a disaster, or at the very least, an embarrassing scene. It turns out that Howard and Amy have very similar tastes in music.
Well, one particular singer made them turn a regular drive into a real carpool karaoke show. The scene begins with their dialog about how they have nothing in common, but then they discover a mutual love for Neil Diamond.
According to fans, Howard and Amy's scenes were the highlights of the entire episode. They really showed that the two of them were enjoying each other's company and finally getting to know each other.
And it seemed that this friendship was exactly what they were missing on the show.
"I wish there were more scenes of them together. Their friendship is really underrated. That scene of them singing Neil Diamond is so good. It really gives me joy. One of the best scenes in BBT. Period," Reddit user-Phoebus- said.
Well, luckily for fans, their friendship storyline was brought up again in season 11, when these two ended up working together on a science project.
Imagine how successful their relationship was, even to the point of making Sheldon jealous!
