Throughout its twelve seasons, The Big Bang Theory had so many great cameos, that it's almost a crime to decide which cameos are the best.
Still, some of the cameos are absolute favorites. Here they go, as put by Reddit:
Adam West
Adam West, best known for his portrayal of Batman in the 1960s TV series, made a cameo appearance in TBBT's episode 17 of season 9.
In the episode, the characters throw a birthday party for Sheldon. As a surprise, they invite Adam West to attend the party, as Sheldon is a huge fan of the original Batman series.
James Earl Jones
Darth Vader himself, James Earl Jones, made an appearance in the 14th episode of season 7.
James Earl Jones was having dinner at his favorite sushi restaurant when he spotted Sheldon. He figured Sheldon was a Star Wars fan, just like him. He invited Sheldon to join him for dinner. It was a fun and amusing evening for Sheldon, and a great experience for viewers.
Bob Newhart
Bob Newhart's cameo was a memorable moment for fans of the show. He appeared in season 6, episode titled The Proton Resurgence.
In the episode, Bob Newhart portrayed Professor Proton, a former TV science show host who inspired Sheldon and Leonard during their childhood. He later also appeared in Young Sheldon.
Stan Lee
The deceased Marvel legend, the man behind so many beloved superheroes — Stan Lee, had a cameo in TBBT's season 3, episode 16.
Penny brings Sheldon to Stan Lee's house without an invitation, which angers Stan. When Stan sarcastically tells Sheldon to watch a Lakers game, Sheldon mistakenly believes it's a genuine invitation and enters Stan's house.
As a result, Stan has to call the police and file a restraining order against Sheldon.
Stephen Hawking
One of the most brilliant minds of our time, Stephen Hawking, made several cameo appearances on TBBT.
Hawking's first appearance on the show was in the episode titled The Hawking Excitation from season 5. In this episode, Sheldon had the opportunity to meet his idol, Stephen Hawking. Hawking's appearance was met with great excitement and admiration.
