On January 21, Beyoncé headlined the launch of the swanky Atlantis the Royal hotel in Dubai, reportedly pocketing $24 million for the set.
That wouldn't be so crazy considering the singer's popularity. However, the set was only an hour long and that alone made some people raise their eyebrows.
Even though the show was reported to be as beautiful and impressive as it could be, could it be worth $24 million?
Another, even deeper question asked by fans: could $24 million be worth the backlash Beyoncé faced when her fans found out where she would be performing?
The United Arab Emirates is known for having very strict anti-gay laws, so it was confusing for many, to say the least, to see an LGBTQ activist and ally perform there.

Whether or not you think the price of the concert was justified by Beyoncé's name alone, the price tag of the gig certainly made some noise.
