Better Call Saul Fans Pick the Show's Worst Character, And It's Definitely Not Who You Expect

Many of us love Better Call Saul for its exciting twists and well-developed characters. The showrunners have given us an incredible number of memorable bandits, villains, and scoundrels.
But lately, Better Call Saul fans have chosen the character who doesn't seem all that bad as the show's worst.
The choice is the man behind the curtain — Don Eladio. He is a minor character, although Don plays a significant role in the development of the story.
Eladio is the leader of the cartel and is known for his ruthlessness. The audience may not see his actions directly, but he is responsible for all the violent decisions in the drug gang.
Eladio appears to be good-natured and well-mannered. The show portrays him as an exceptional pro-lifer who swims in the pool, drinks expensive alcohol, and rides in the sports cars he is given.
All of Don's scenes in Mexico are set against the backdrop of a relaxed party, where the cartel leader is distracted from his business only to estimate the amount of money he has made.
Surprisingly, fans voted Eladio the worst character in the series, as viewers have also seen the deranged Tuco, the ruthless Hector, and the merciless Salamanca brothers. Even the charismatic Lalo was not afraid to kill innocent people.
Overall, it seemed like the fans' choice would be someone from this family of cartel killers. But viewers note that without Eladio, the Salamancas would not have become so powerful.
Fans make the rather fair observation that the bigger the cartel gets, the angrier its leader becomes.
And many agree. You can't run a criminal organization for more than 20 years and not have blood on your hands. Viewers especially note the scene where the cartel massacred Gus Fring's lover, Max.
It was Eladio who told the future creator of Chicken Empire that he was no longer in Chile. Since then, Gus has been hatching a plan for revenge.
Don Eladio may not be as villainous as Hector or Tuco, but he has done much more evil at the top of the criminal organization.
