MCU is well-known for its highly-anticipated post-credits scenes at the end of every movie, which offer teasers about what to expect from the future movies.

These scenes helped to keep moviegoers in their seats to the last second of a movie's runtime.

But as it seems Marvel Studio have decided that one particular post-credit scene should not see the light of day: the post-credits scene starring WWE's Becky Lynch at the end of Eternals.

According to a report, Becky Lynch had played a role in the Eternals movie, directed by Chloé Zhao, which obviously meant a post-credit scene, as Becky does not appear in the movie proper, but that scene has been removed from the final cut of the movie.

As usual, the scene was supposed to set up something for a future installment, though it is unclear what exactly that installment was.

The studio refused to give any comments. Becky Lynch too did not make a comment. But allegedly, the reason for removal of the scene had nothing to do with Becky's performance. As it seems, Marvel Studios was perfectly happy about it.

Allegedly, again, the post-credits scene got axed because it was "too depressing". There is no clear answer as to whether Marvel will make any use of the deleted clip. Maybe it indeed was too depressing, but now fans likely will never be able to judge that for themselves.

Becky Lynch will also have to wait until her debut at Marvel, which will almost certainly come in the future.

The news adds to other news and rumors about problems, which surrounded development of Eternals. Chloé Zhao once revealed the Eternals had a much bleaker ending, which may be the reason why the post-credits scene was considered too dark for the viewers.

And its actual ending was not exactly sunshine and rainbows, for that matter. Despite such drastic changes to the script, Eternals ended up as one of the least successful, if not the least successful MCU movie, although that might be at least partially explained by the fact that it brought fairly obscure comic book characters to the big screen.
