The final episode fits the show well, even if it is a bit imperfect, fans say.

Barry, a dark comedy crime drama TV series created by Alec Berg and Bill Hader, is now over after four great seasons, leaving fans with a bittersweet feeling.

While they are thankful that the creators decided to end the show on a high note instead of dragging it out for who knows how long, it is still sad to see such a great show come to an end, especially with such a shocking and darkly funny finale.

Heavy spoilers ahead.

As the tension built throughout the series, viewers wondered what would happen to their favorite hitman, played by Bill Hader, and made all sorts of predictions, from Barry turning himself in to being killed.

And in a surprising turn of events, it seems that both theories were correct (well, technically), as Barry was fatally shot in the head by Gene Cousineau, played by Henry Winkler, just before he decided to turn himself in to the police.

Fans have mixed feelings about the series finale, as Barry was not the only fan-favorite character to meet his end in it, take NoHo Hank for example.

While most liked it overall, some feel that it was a bit anticlimactic, as not every character got the ending they wanted.

Others, however, feel that it fits perfectly with the "some people are just beyond redemption" undertone of the story, and that the show nailed the ending.

It had brilliant acting, great drama that made this episode especially somber for many viewers, and a dash of dark humor with Barry's last words, "oh, wow," that made some fans chuckle.

Also, the fact that a killer, even after his death, gets a movie that portrays him as a hero, while a good man goes to jail, ideally sums up the dark humor aspect of the series.
