But there's good news too, so it's not time to get upset.

Netflix has finally released the full teaser for Season 2 of Arcane. According to the streaming, the latest chapter of the League of Legends adaptation will show the escalation that has reached a climax between the cities of Piltover and Zaun – and sisters Vi and Jinx.

What Did the Season 2 Teaser Show?

The trailer, although it lasted just over a minute, managed to show a lot of details and hints that indicate that big changes are in store for us in the second season.

Apparently, Jinx will become the leader of the Zaun resistance, as the video shows a wall with her image on it.

Vi will join the Piltover Peacekeepers, and the sisters will find themselves on opposite sides of the barricades. The theory that Vander will turn into the monster from League of Legends, Warwick, has also been confirmed.

Is Arcane Season 2 Really the Last One?

Looks like we are in for another adrenaline ride, another chapter in one of the best animated projects of recent years. But what about the fact that the second season will be the last?

While many were disappointed to learn that Vi and Jinx's story ends, just because this is the last season doesn't mean we won't see more League of Legends adaptations. The Arcane team says that this is just the first chapter of our LoL adventure. Co-creator Christian Linke revealed:

“From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ‘Arcane’ wraps up with this second season. But ‘Arcane’ is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

With over a hundred extremely diverse champions with detailed biographies on LoL, translating such a rich legacy into a series is no easy task. But Arcane's creators, French studio Fortiche, have skillfully exploited the lore of the game. So we say goodbye to Vi and Jinx, but look forward to another, probably no less exciting adventure.

New LoL Project Could Focus on Noxus

In the third arc of the first season, Ambessa Medarda, Mel Medarda's mother from the Council, arrives in Piltover. A flashback shows that Mel was too soft-hearted in her youth to support her mother's bloody deeds, so she was sent on a diplomatic mission to Piltover.

So in addition to Zaun and Piltover, Arcane introduced another location from the game – the militaristic empire of Noxus. You can learn more about Noxus not only on the LoL website, but also in a special animated short movie. Riot Games has released a series of short films about different areas of Runeterra.

It is quite possible that the future LoL project will focus on the history of this realm, especially since there is already material in the form of a short film that can be used to create a larger story.
