Avengers' Lowest Grossing Movie Was Actually The Best One of the Entire Series, Fight Us
Forget Avengers: Endgame, this movie has done more to enrich the MСU than any other.
Marvel movies are pretty predictable – they are designed in the same style, the main characters remain the same, and a heroic happy ending is guaranteed (almost always).
On the other hand, each of the movies has its own shade, contains some thoughts atypical for the general concept, and in each of the movies you can find something that was not in the previous ones. And these differences is a strong side of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Age of Ultron was the lowest grossing movie of the Avengers installments. It grossed $1.4 billion, while the others never fell below the $1.5 billion mark.
But Age of Ultron is still the best Avengers movie, and you're ready for this conversation.
The main advantage of the second Avengers installment was the attention to detail and the deeper development of the characters.
The superheroes in this movie are not just images ripped from comics, they have inner demons, problems, neuroses, they are prone to frustration, panic attacks or succumbing to the pressure of nostalgic memories.
Revealing the deepest fears of the characters is just one of the advantages of Age of Ultron. Fans witnessed the development of a romantic relationship between Bruce and Natasha, another bout of Tony Stark's God syndrome, and incredibly touching scenes with Hawkeye.
As promised by the director, the movie turned out to be much more personal than the other action-oriented Avengers.
The attempt to introduce new characters without overloading the movie with superheroes was also successful. Unlike Infinity War and Endgame, Age of Ultron never felt overcrowded with characters.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, while not overshadowing the already familiar heroes, were able to shine, and Vision, whose story was set in the era of Ultron, became a discovery. The Avengers also got a worthy rival – omnipresent, impetuous and narcissistic.
In this movie, the Avengers became a real team, and according to many fans, this installment, unlike, for example, the first Avengers, has aged exceptionally well.
Avengers: Age of Ultron can certainly be revisited if you want to experience nostalgia for early Marvel projects. You can stream it right now on Disney Plus, as well as all the other Avengers movies.
