As New Oppenheimer Reviews Roll In, No One Can Deny the Obvious Anymore
The critical embargo on Oppenheimer is lifted, and dozens of reviews started flooding in. The critics can't help themselves as they're overflowing with emotions.
So many things have already been said about Christopher Nolan 's upcoming movie. There isn't a soul on the Internet that hasn't already learned anything and everything about Oppenheimer; we'd guess that half of us would probably cite the generic "a 3-hour-long biopic about the father of the atomic bomb" description even if woken up in the middle of the night.
There's nothing but praise for Oppenheimer, and for some people, it's a bit concerning: it's been merely a few weeks now since another movie that was unanimously praised came out and turned out to be a complete dud.
With both Barbie and Oppenheimer releasing in just a few hours, the tension from the skeptics is high: both films have seen nothing but overwhelmingly positive reviews so far. This could mean that either they're really as great as they sound or they're their own genres' The Flashes. Who knows?
Well, until the official worldwide release, none of us will ever learn whether they personally like the films — but for those who trust the critics and want Oppenheimer to be a great piece of cinema, we have good news.
The critical embargo on Nolan's upcoming movie just lifted, so the reviews started flooding in — and the brief sitrep sounds like this: the critics are totally in love with Oppenheimer. As it became allowed to reveal the reviews, the amount of online praise for the movie doubled from the insane media and online coverage alone as critics are singing love songs to Nolan and Murphy.
"Oppenheimer is a film that works simultaneously on the most intimate and cosmic scales. It’s at once a speeding roller-coaster and a skin-tingling spiritual portrait; an often classically minded period piece that only Nolan could have made, and only now, after a quarter-century’s run-up," wrote Robbie Collin from The Daily Telegraph.
Collin's review is rather on-point and poetic so we chose to quote it, but honestly — there are hundreds of such reviews, and their authors are mad in love with Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan, Cillian Murphy, and everyone involved in the movie. At the same time, unlike with The Flash ( and even Barbie), each review is unique and points out different aspects of the film, so we're convinced those are real people's opinions.
