Are HotD's Tom Glynn-Carney and Ewan Mitchell Friends in Real Life?
Family drama in House of the Dragon does not always translate into the real life.
In the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, Tom Glynn-Carney portrays Aegon II Targaryen, the son of King Viserys and a brother to Aemond, the younger son of Viserys and Alicent Hightower.
It's not like the two characters enjoy warm brotherly love. Aemond clearly thinks that his older brother is a decent heir and a worthy king. Aegon, meanwhile, seems to only care about alcohol and women, and hates pretty much everything that gets in the way — including Aemond if he does get in the way.

However, in real life, both actors are a lot lovelier people and seem to enjoy nice and friendly relations.
"I love him, he [actually] is like a brother. He is a fantastic actor and a fantastic human being," Glynn-Carney said during the House of the Dragon red carpet.
It seems that actors who play sworn enemies seem to actually be getting along with each other pretty off set.

Yet another example of great friendship and chemistry is the duo of Emma D'Arcy (older Rhaenyra Targaryen) and Olivia Cooke ( older Alicent Hightower). Aside from the iconic "negroni sbagliato with prosecco in it" moment, the two share a lot of precious and hilarious moment from the interviews and from set. D'Arcy and Cooke even call each other their dream guests for a dinner.
House of the Dragon is heading into season 2, with the show to pick up from a bloody season 1 finale, when Mitchell's Aemond did not manage to prevent his dragon Vhagar from tearing apart Rhaenyra's son Lucerys and his dragon Arrax. The premiere date is yet to be announced.
