Arcane Season 2 Trailer: When to Expect It?
Ever since 2021, Arcane fans have been craving a season 2. The first glimpse of it could be closer than we think!
Just recently, we Arcane fans got some reassuring news: the second season is coming in 2024, so it's only fair to expect some sort of a teaser sooner or later.
Needless to say, pretty much everyone wants the "sooner" option, and according to fans, there are several possible windows for Netflix to drop the trailer for Arcane season 2.
The story of two sisters, Vi and Powder (a.k.a. Jinx), who found themselves on the opposing sides in a looming civil war between Piltover's topside and the undercity has ended on a heartbreaking cliffhanger in 2021. Now that the second season has been confirmed to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2024, fans are torn on when to expect the first teaser.
The trailer for Arcane season 1 dropped some six weeks before the show premiered on Netflix. It would be reasonable to assume that the second season will follow the lead; in this case, we should expect the trailer some time in late summer or fall of 2024.
However, Arcane's subreddit has other options as well.
For instance, the trailer could drop on the two-year anniversary of Arcane, which should be in November 2023. To be honest, this is maybe a little too optimistic, as it would mean that the trailer release is just around the corner.
Another, more plausible option is at the end of Worlds that will take place at the end of this year. Many fans expect at least a little teaser, if not a full-blown trailer, at the event, as they believe it is perfect timing to build up hype for the new chapter of the story.
Some fans also note an Arcane season 2 teaser may drop at Game Awards, scheduled for December 7, 2023.
However, the release date of the trailer can also depend on the SAG-AFTRA strike outcome; even though the WGA strike has been resolved, there's no deal for the actors just yet.
Many people in the Arcane fandom prefer to prepare for the worst possible scenario, which is "the trailer won't drop this year." At this point, we can only wait, speculate, or binge-watch the first season of Arcane, which is available for streaming on Netflix.
