Apple TV+ to Drop a New Comedy Show With Friends Star This Month

Friends’ fans are now definitely counting days until Apple TV+ ’s next exciting arrival, and they have a reason to do so.
It’s been a while since we saw the legendary sitcom’s star Lisa Kudrow on TV screens in a major role, but this won’t be the case in just a couple of weeks when the actress’ brand new adventure show lands on streaming.
Many may get even more thrilled when they find out that the upcoming project is helmed by MCU vet Taika Waititi.
Based on a 1981 movie of the same name, Apple TV+’s new fantasy series Time Bandits follows a ragtag group of criminals whose sneaky way of living gets a very unexpected and pretty much undesired turn when the team finds another member, an 11-year-old history nerd Kevin.
Having figured out that his room has a hidden time-traveling portal, Kevin embarks on a whole new adventure alongside a gang of resilient thieves that now have to help their new recruit find his parents and come back home.
In Time Bandits’ brand new adaptation for TV, Lisa Kudrow portrays one of the gang’s members and their leader Penelope, who in the fresh trailer for the upcoming series claims that their group is “a crack team of expert thieves. Nothing is too big for us to steal”.
Apart from the actress, the upcoming show will also star one of Time Bandits’ creators Taika Waititi as Supreme Being, a role which yet has to be unveiled by the time the series arrives.
Time Bandits’ episode 1 will premiere on Apple TV+ on July 24, with two more episodes released every week until August 21.
