After only two episodes made available, Apple TV+'s new spy-thriller 'Slow Horses' starring Gary Oldman is already called "an instant classic" by some of the critics.

The show has over-the-top critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes (93%), and viewers are as impressed– viewers rating at the moment is up to 96%.

"Absolutely addicted already to this show! A bit more humor than expected, but works really well. Gary Oldman is fantastic as always", one of the first reviews reads.

'Slow Horses' is based on the novel of the same name by Mick Herron and tells the story of so called Slough House, the department MI5 agents end up in after mission failure. Those who work there are called "slow horses". They must endure dull paperwork and bear with the eccentric behavior of cynical, scruffy boss Jackson Lamb played by Gary Oldman. But, of course, rather sooner than later they become entangled in a dangerous spy game.

First of all, critics praise Oldman. They say that it's a gift to watch the actor in the role of Jackson Lamb. That even if there was absolutely nothing in the series except for All Damn it would still be worth watching. But, according to critics, there's much more in 'Slow Horses' than that. It manages to simultaneously be a terrific spy thriller, a really funny comedy and a drama about outcasts and redemption.
