Not everything can be tolerated, even when it comes to soaps.

General Hospital fans are probably the ones who can easily say that they are ready for any change that the soap brings to them. Well, after more than 60 years on the air, the show has provided its viewers with every storyline imaginable.

There were characters that came back from the dead. Or those who suddenly went from being the protagonists to becoming the villains. You name it, there's a huge possibility that General Hospital has done that over the years.

As long as the course of the drama changes, it's not news for the soap to recast its characters. The reasons could be different. For example, a pregnancy, or a career change, or a misunderstanding on set between cast and producers. The reasons are not really important.

What is important is the fact that the fans have always been there for their beloved show and tried to understand how the genre works. But it seems that even they have had enough of the nonsense that the show brings with it.

The producers of the show recently changed the actress who played Molly. A little over two months ago, they cast Holiday Mia Kriegel to replace Haley Pullos. The thing is, Pullos was involved in a devastating car accident and had to leave the show.

Okay, that's understandable, no questions asked. But right after hiring a new actress to play Molly, the showrunners decided to make another change and cast Brooke Anne Smith. And that was the dealbreaker.

‘I'm sorry but this actress is way too old for Molly. I thought that when I first saw her, and I've since learned she's 39. 39 is not old or anything, but Molly is btw 25-28. This actress looks her age. If she looked 25-28, I wouldn't care. It's just very obvious and takes me out of the scene,” Redditor Remarkable-Taro-1994 said.

As many other fans also claim, it's not a case of agism or anything like that, but just a genuine desire to keep the show looking natural. But it doesn't seem possible at the moment. Or should we just wait and see? After all, Molly has only been on screen since July 19.
