Despite the creator's positive statement, one should still remain cautious, as things may not be as good as they seem.

With the recent Writers Guild of America strike, a significant number of TV shows have been put in jeopardy because their scripts were unfinished.

However, the second season of Star Wars ' Andor seems to have avoided that fate.

The show's creator, Tony Gilroy, recently confirmed that he finished the script for season 2 just two days before the strike began.

According to him, he didn't finish it because of the strike, but "because our thing rhymed with the strike."

However, things may not be as bright as they seem. Many fans point out that, despite Gilroy's statement, such narrow avoidance is suspicious, since everyone knew the strike was coming.

It is quite possible that the process was at least somewhat rushed in order to get it done in time for the writers to get their script fees.

And when such things are rushed, it often affects the quality of the material.

This is a double-edged sword, however, as a tight schedule leaves little room for network notes and changes that bring the result closer to the creators' original vision.

So if the rush happened at all, it may have been for the best.

Another potential problem is that with the strike in effect, there is no way to make changes during the filming process, which could be quite problematic.

It happens often that better ideas come to mind or unexpected complications arise along the way, and now the creators are stuck with the material they have.

However, there is a way to overcome this problem, because if the changes are made by the director or the actors, it is entirely possible to make them.

Of course, with the official statement claiming otherwise, all of this is just concern and speculation.

After all, it has been known for a while that Andor would only have two seasons, so there was plenty of time for the creators to work out a complete story, and fans hope that the second season will be at least as good as the first.

Andor is a breath of fresh air among the many Star Wars projects, and it would be a real shame if it suffered a decline in quality.

Andor season 2 is scheduled for release in August 2024.
