And Just Like That’s Best Upcoming Cameo Is What Fans Fear the Most in S2

Kim Cattrall’s cameo may be the most anticipated one, but the trailer for And Just Like That’s season 2 has us begging for some Aidan Shaw ASAP.

Mr. Big was never good for Carrie. Aidan Shaw, played by John Corbett, is the real dream guy that she let get away in Sex and the City. It looks like he will be back in the sequel’s season 2.

Judging by the trailer, Aidan and Carrie will reconnect, and some of their old feelings might even resurface this season. Carrie mourned her late husband John in season 1, and now she is ready to give dating another try. Could she and Aidan finally be right for each other twenty years later?

In February, Sarah Jessica Parker made all of our hearts skip a beat when she posted some teaser photos of Carrie and Aidan kissing in season 2. So chances are they will end up together after all!

However, it seems that this is not what the fans want. And Just Like That… has so far failed to be a worthy sequel to the Sex and the City franchise. Each episode has a confusing number of storylines, the new characters are two-dimensional, and the old ones are nothing like their old selves.

Redditors fear that the writers will ruin Aidan as well. Carrie has always been selfish when it comes to Aidan, and frankly, she has never deserved him. Even their kiss in Sex and the City 2 is not considered canon by most fans because cheating on his wife is so un-Aidan.

In And Just Like That…, Carrie may have moved on after Mr. Big’s death, but she still treats her boyfriends wrong and makes everything about her. The fans want Carrie to grow up and become less self-centered before she can end up with Aidan or anyone else for that matter.

Otherwise, this next fling with Carrie might just destroy the poor guy, and Aidan is way too sweet for that. Honestly, we just want him to have a happy family life ending. Aidan is a husband and a dad, and he deserves a quiet, drama-free life – and that’s something Carrie can’t give him.
