Amalita Amalfi may have only appeared in one episode of Sex and the City, but she immediately stole our hearts.

Carole Raphaelle Davis, who played Amalita, made her memorable debut in the season 1 episode, The Power of Female Sex, and became an instant fan favorite. If your memory fails you, Amalita, the socialite, introduced Carrie to the rich and charming architect who left her a hefty sum of money after spending the night together.

Amalita has been loved by many since 1998. From her adorable European accent and an ever-so-fitting red lip to her legendary “Wave, darling, wave” line and devil-may-care attitude, Amalita is the character that fans just can’t let go of.

Since Kim Cattrall wanted nothing to do with the Sex and the City revival show, And Just Like That (never mind the little cameo), the showrunners had to create new supporting characters to keep the dynamic going. What everyone is wondering is why they didn’t just bring Amalita back.

She seems to be exactly what the series needs. Amalita runs in the same circles, she is rich and can pop back to New York any time, and the fans are already in love with her. As if that’s not enough, Carole Raphaelle Davis herself doesn’t mind coming back to the franchise at all – at least, that’s what she has recently told Vogue.

The actress shared that she would love to join the revival if someone asked her, saying, “No one has made the call, and I’m not a pushy person.” And Just Like That’s creators, what are you all waiting for? The series and the girls need this iconic character back as soon as possible.

Honestly, Amalita would bring so much nostalgia and new energy to the show at the same time. Well, maybe in season 3? Thinking happy thoughts with our fingers tightly crossed.
