And Just Like That Character Who Should Be Hated Even More Than Miranda
The controversy about this show just never stops…
Since the day the Sex and the City sequel was released, the amount of hatred has only grown with each new episode. Fans seemed to be upset with everything about And Just Like That.
The main plot seems dull, the casting choice is questionable (even the main ex-Sex trio), all the problems seem to have been created out of thin air. And the list goes on and on.
There was a lot of hate directed at the main characters. Charlotte was mainly accused of being boring, Carrie's every storyline just seems pointless, the new girls just have no charisma or any spark.
But the one who was criticized even more was actually Miranda. Fans found her new personality absolutely annoying and a caricature of who she was in the OG series. Her discovery of her new identity left everyone with the only desire to fix her brain, not support her new self.
Well, it seems that another character, Che Diaz, is also partly to blame. Diaz eventually becomes Miranda's love interest and turns her world upside down (and not in a good way). Because of Che, Miranda is no longer her normal self, but turns into an insecure puppy.
And as it turns out, the fans like the series’ newcomer even less than the new Miranda.
“I hate the character of Che because they are an awful person. Childish, unloving, sneaky, selfish, irresponsible, predatory, unfunny, deeply unattractive (not in terms of looks, Sara is good looking) - the list goes on. They are just bad for Miranda, who was once a beloved character. It has nothing to do with Che's gender, queer status or otherwise,” Redditor debsterUK said.
After season 1, the internet was already calling Che the number one worst character. But And Just Like That season 2 just proved that Diaz can be even worse. So now all the fans are just hoping that Miranda will somehow come to her senses and finally get rid of her toxic partner.
