Although they are still expecting the show, fans believe that it may be just another disappointment.

The Ahsoka TV series is currently the most anticipated Star Wars project, as it will be quite a while before we see anything else, with the second season of Andor still more than a year away, scheduled for August 2024, and the release date for the Skeleton Crew TV series not yet announced.

However, it seems that with every news about Ahsoka, fans are getting more and more concerned about the quality of the show for a simple reason.

Following the announcement that the first episode of the show will premiere on August 23, 2023, fans are expressing their doubts in the comment sections.

Even though they are eagerly awaiting the adventures of the titular Jedi, the recent disappointment with the third season of The Mandalorian has significantly lowered their expectations.

They say that with the exception of Andor season 1, the recent track record for Star Wars TV shows has been less than stellar.

First they got a rather mediocre The Book of Boba Fett, and then The Mandalorian season 3 was a huge drop in quality for a once great show.

It was criticized for feeling like filler most of the time and for an extremely disappointing season finale that made much of the entire storyline meaningless and blatantly killed off Moff Gideon, the main villain of the show.

With all of this in mind, many fans are keeping their expectations in check, having learned from their underwhelming experience with The Mandalorian.

While it is generally a good idea to avoid having extremely high expectations, they may be overreacting a bit, as some are suddenly starting to nitpick the trailer for the series, saying that it looks rather cheap and feels more like The Book of Boba Fett, for example.

Their concerns are completely understandable, but it is still too early to judge, as there are no obvious signs that the show will end up being a disaster.

The story will continue after the setup in The Mandalorian season 2 and will follow Ahsoka on her hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn.
