Sometimes you just have to be grateful there was a season at all.

As much as we all love the excitement of traveling to different galaxies, getting a peek into the Royal Family's lives, or joining the criminals in their scheming all throughout TV screens, sometimes there’s nothing better than just watching normal people dealing with their struggles.

Being able to realistically show the hardships that real people may face in their everyday lives, without losing the spark of fun and hope, Virgin River became extremely popular and has taken the title of a “comfort show” for many Netflix viewers. However, just like any other show, it just can’t be consistently great.

In anticipation of season 5, which is about to air on September 7, 2023, Virgin River fans have decided which parts of the show they enjoyed the most.

Here’s the list of all the Virgin River seasons, ranked from “glad it exists” to an absolute masterpiece.

4. Season 3

Just like everything else produced amidst the COVID-19 in compliance with all the rules, this season wasn’t the best. However, fans are still very grateful for it to even exist, as there were plenty of shows that didn’t manage to work on any content during that time at all.

3. Season 1

It’s hard to deny that every show’s first season will be forever special for the fans. Partly because of the nostalgia that comes with every pilot, partly because of how great the main characters were introduced to the viewers and given a chance to slowly grow on them. Without season 1 there would be no Mel and Jack, no highs of season 2, and no lows of season 4.

2. Season 4

Although the season wasn’t bad at all, and many would agree to put it on the same level as the second one, some still felt like it lacked excitement. The season was also filled with angst and drama (that made sense this time around), so some of the viewers just felt like it was way harder to watch than previous ones.

1. Season 2

This season truly had it all, but the peak, of course, was the beautiful feelings reveal scene. Of course, looking back at it, fans believe that the season would benefit from even more buildup leading up to “I love you”, and more scenes of Mel and Jack together, but it does not affect the satisfaction we all got from watching this scene in the slightest.
