Nothing is better than a perfect closure.

The final season of Sex Education is streaming on Netflix now, and it seems that all everybody can only talk about is how disappointed they are with season 4.

The first thing that made people unhappy was the fact that many characters weren’t there for the finale. But even those who stayed till the end got not-so-satisfying storylines. Mostly the fans were angry about how the writers handled Otis’ storyline. The second character who clearly deserved better was Maeve.

However, it seems that fans can be happy for at least one character because the only arc that was handled perfectly was Aimee Gibbs'. Her character development was so carefully plotted and thoughtful that for a moment we thought that she had her own writer, separate from those writing the rest of the show.

Aimee came a long way from the scared girl she was at the beginning of the show to her best self by the end of the last season. She was put through a lot of tough stuff that could have broken her, but she was strong enough not to let it happen.

After being sexually assaulted by a man on the bus in season 2, Aimee spent a lot of time and effort to understand what she wanted out of life. Her friends helped her through it all, but it was actually she who made the healing possible.

In season 4, the process of self-discovery continued for Aimee, as she decided to use art to express herself and explore her feelings. And here's the new twist that later became the highlight of the final season: Aimee suddenly found herself getting closer to Isaac.

He helped her understand art, but in the end, this relationship gave them both something even more meaningful. The chemistry and connection between them just felt so natural and effortless. It's like they were meant to be together as friends and as romantic partners.

But the best thing the writers could do was show us Aimee healed and happy. There was a scene where she finally decided to wear the jeans she was wearing when she was assaulted and go to the bus stop, take her pictures, and later set those jeans on fire.

In the end, this is the best closure that Aimee could have gotten. And the writers did a really great job of not robbing us of seeing the beloved character happy.
