Nobody expected it, but everyone needed it. Wes Anderson's version of The Lord of the Rings.

It's been more than 20 years since the original The Lord of the Rings came out.

Maybe it is time for a reboot? If reboot was to happen, so many great directors would be honored to direct a film like this.

While you are thinking of your favorite director who might have directed a new The Lord of the Rings movie, enthusiasts have already come up with a whole trailer of the reboot if it was directed by Wes Anderson.

A YouTube channel Curious Refuge has posted a trailer for The Whimsical Fellowship (that's how they named it) in Wes Anderson's style, created by artificial intelligence. You can check it out below.

Wes Anderson is highly regarded and widely known for the unique visual style of his movies. His films feature quirky characters, symmetrical and colorful cinematography, storybook-like narratives and quotable dialogue.

The Lord of the Rings movie directed by Wes Anderson is probably something that very few people could think of, but many would definitely love to see.

Accompanied by the off-screen voice of the narrator and a soundtrack similar to the music Anderson uses in his movie, the trailer features colorful shots of the recognizable places but in the new style, and the beloved characters who are mostly played by the actors who already worked with Anderson.

The trailer suggests Bill Murray as Gandalf, Edward Norton as Aragorn, Tilda Swinton as Galadriel, Benicio del Toro as Gimli, Adrien Brody as Legolas, Christoph Waltz as Saruman, Willem Dafoe as Gollum and finally, Timothée Chalamet as Frodo.

Oh man, what a great cast! Not that the original cast is worse, but these guys would have shown something different if they gathered together for a movie in this universe. They did Dafoe dirty, though.

It's spectacular how the AI managed to make it in a style that from the first seconds makes you think that you are really watching a Wes Anderson's movie trailer.

Even though it is not specifically a kind of movie that Wes Anderson would take on to direct, it still looks surprisingly natural.
