AI Imagined Harry Potter as Latin American Telenovela, And It's As Hilarious As It Gets  

It’s hard to deny that Harry Potter is one of the most iconic series of our time, including both books and movies. While we are going to witness a new Harry Potter adaptation as a TV show by Max in 2025/26, fans have their own ideas for the franchise.

Ever had those moments when your mind wanders into the most bizarre scenarios? Well, one YouTuber user apparently had, but not only did they imagine Harry Potter in an absolutely distinct setting, but they also asked AI to envision it.

The hilarious video by WhiskyAI on YouTube, imagine what if Harry Potter was recreated as a Mexican soap opera? The video includes animated images of our beloved characters who even have some voiced lines. It’s all possible thanks to different AI tools.

The video takes our favorite Harry Potter characters and places them right in the middle of an over-the-top telenovela. The result is pure comedic gold. From the very start, when Hagrid says "Eres adoptado, Harry" (You're adopted, Harry), you understand that it’s going to be a masterpiece.

One user humorously suggested that Harry's name in the telenovela version should be Enrique El Harry Braulio Ruiz de la Garza de la Cruz Misericordiosa y la Santisima Trinidad Garcia Potter.

In this version, Neville Longbottom, that shy, clumsy kid from Gryffindor, is for some reason the sexiest character. It's safe to say he would be a fan favorite in this adaptation.

There are no monsters in this world. It’s about drama and emotions, amigos. So, even Voldemort and Dobby are portrayed as humans. Well, a human Dobby does look a bit unsettling, but let’s just accept it.

There is one rather controversial part. For some reason, Harry is… sleeping with Professor McGonagall. “Harry, no one can know about us,” she says as they are in the bed together. Where’s Gilderoy Lockhart and his Memory Charm when we need them?

But still, the video does a very good job at making you want to actually watch this telenovela in real life. Just think of it: every episode would feature an overly dramatic duel with slow motion, intense background music, hair flying in the wind, and exaggerated spells. What a dream.
