Have you ever wondered what Walter White and Jesse Pinkman would look like as third-graders?

Breaking Bad is a show with a gritty and intense story. But what if the show got turned into something totally wacky like an elementary school play? Sounds bizarre, but that’s exactly the kind of wild scenarios that AI allows us to envision.

YouTube channel Schrödinger's Film Club has imagined Breaking Bad as an elementary school play using AI, and it's as adorable as it is hilarious. The video was created using generative AI tools like Midjourney, RunwayML, ElevenLabs, and HeyGen.

What makes this version really work is how it manages to mix the gritty themes of Breaking Bad with the pure innocence of childhood. It's a mashup you never knew you wanted until you checked it out.

The play takes the audience through iconic scenes from Breaking Bad, but with kindergartners being the stars of the show. From Walter White's iconic "I am the danger" speech to Jesse Pinkman's "Yeah, science!" moment, the play references the original series with a bit of childlike innocence.

What's really cool about this AI-made school version is that even though they've totally changed the setting, the characters still stay true to themselves. Little Walter White is still chasing his dreams, and Jesse is still dropping his favorite word. But our personal favorite is little Saul Goodman. He is adorable.

Many of those who watched it couldn't stop laughing at the idea, especially the part with the turtle. If you need a reminder, in the original series, Danny Trejo's character was named Tortuga (which means turtle in Spanish), and his head ended up on a turtle's back. It was a really dark scene, but in this play, it’s just a cute turtle.

A few users were relieved that this was just a concept and not an actual school play, citing the adult themes of the original show.

You might be surprised to know that something similar was actually created in real life. Believe it or not, it racked up over 4.5 million views and actually offers a hilarious twist on the iconic show. Check out Breaking Bad: The Middle School Musical on YouTube.
