Looks like we won't have to wait for too long.

A recent update on the future of the Star Wars franchise brought a long-awaited clarification on the release window for the Ahsoka TV series.

Previously, Rosario Dawson, who portrays the character in the live-action installments, stated in an interview with TODAY with Hoda and Jenna that "Ahsoka, that's going to probably come out in the Fall. We're going to have 'Haunted Mansion' coming out in August first."

Now, according to Variety, a new release window appears to be earlier, as the show is set to premiere in late summer.

The character first appeared in the 2008 computer-animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which served as a prelude to a new TV series of the same name (2008-2020). Starting out as a Padawan under the tutelage of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka received a mixed reaction from fans at the time, with many calling the character annoying and childish.

However, over the course of the show's seven-season run, she eventually became a fan favorite due to the changes in her character.

When the show's final season premiered after a six-year hiatus, fans were thrilled to see the end of Ahsoka's Clone Wars arc.

The character also appeared in another computer-animated series, Star Wars: Rebels (2014-2018). Although the show wasn't as well received as its predecessor, fans were excited to see Ahsoka's story expanded.

As Disney began producing their live-action Star Wars shows, her appearance was heavily rumored among fans.

The anticipation finally came to an end with the release of the second season of The Mandalorian, where she appeared in episode 5, brought to life by Rosario Dawson.

The actress did a great job portraying the iconic Jedi, leaving fans eager to see her again. Dawson later reprised her role for episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett.

The Ahsoka limited TV series, featuring the titular character, was announced in December 2020. With Rosario reprising her role, fans have been waiting for information about the show's release for almost three years.

While the exact date has yet to be announced, it's now clear that they won't have to wait too long.
