The actress clarified her earlier accusations in a recent interview, but fans believe she only made herself look bad.

Last week, American Horror Story star Angelica Ross made headlines when she accused her co-star Emma Roberts of being transphobic and "playing psychological games on set," as well as throwing shade at the show's creator, Ryan Murphy, for canceling the show's black women-led season.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ross elaborated on the situation that apparently led to her not being included in the cast of the show's just-released 12th season.

Specifically, the actress mentioned a crew member who frequently wore T-shirts with "racist" messages on them, which led to her refusing to shoot a scene until the situation was addressed and posting about it on X (formerly Twitter).

This apparently led to a heated phone call with Ryan Murphy, who, according to Ross, was initially upset that she would do this "after all he's done," but then calmed down and said he wanted to be "her biggest champion."

However, Tanase Popa, a co-producer of the show who was present during the conversation, debunked the actress' claims, stating that Murphy handled the conversation in a calm and collected manner, basically wondering why Ross made the situation public instead of trying to resolve it privately first.

The actress also mentioned that Murphy was "trying to paint a narrative" that he supports diversity by including LGBTQ+ actors in the cast of AHS.

While Ross' first wave of accusations received positive feedback from fans who expressed their support for her, in light of the aforementioned details, they believe that she came off quite badly in this interview.

They say that her comments resemble those of an angry and entitled diva who throws shade at her colleagues because she isn't self-aware enough to understand that she's no different from them.

Fans agree that Ross' decision to try to turn what should have been an internal affair into a public scandal by posting it on social media before giving management a chance to handle the situation paints her in a bad light.

As for her statement that Murphy was only pretending to support diversity, fans say it seems questionable at best, as Ryan, who is openly gay himself, often gives LGBTQ+ actors major and sometimes even lead roles instead of sidelining them like many other Hollywood projects.

The second episode of American Horror Story: Delicate will premiere on September 27, 2023.
