A Way to Properly Explain Morgan Stark Return to the MCU Was Always There

Now that the rumors of a potential comeback by Tony Stark and his adult daughter Morgan are circulating among Marvel fans, opinion about the alleged return differ.
Some people think that it will cheapen Robert Downey Jr 's character, while noting that his daughter Morgan does not have enough fanbase for someone to be truly excited about her return. But others are not ruling out that it can be handled well.
In fact, there is a perfectly logical way to explain Morgan Stark's appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars — and it was teased back in Infinity War.
It was the first time the name Morgan Stark ever emerged in the MCU, with Tony revealing to Pepper that he had a dream about them having a kid named Morgan. And after seeing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we all know what it means for someone to have a dream about something.
Yes, it does officially mean that Morgan Stark, who was just 4 in Endgame and is therefore not old enough to make an adult cameo in Secret Wars, has a variant in the multiverse. And the offspring that Tony dreamt of might be that exact Morgan that is allegedly set to return in Secret Wars.
Now that Marvel has officially announced that we are in the middle of the Multiverse Saga, the explanation does look extremely feasible. Still, it doesn't mean that fans — even those who loved Tony and his family — are too excited to see it become reality.
As of now, fans fear that the multiversal opportunities might in fact end up cheapening the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe due to allowing basically infinite ways to bring back any character. If that happens, it means that no death is ultimate and irreversible. For fans who have already mourned Tony Stark and feel ready to move on to other characters and not cling to his family anymore, his or Morgan's return is not the best news.
Still, the rumors about Robert Downey Jr's possible comeback — as well as claims that Morgan will return as well — are yet to be confirmed. Avengers: Secret Wars has been postponed by Marvel to May 1, 2026 release.
