Sometimes you just need to let your characters rest.

We all know that there's nothing better than a little drama thrown into every relationship on the show. Without drama, it wouldn't be interesting to follow the story of two characters.

However, the right amount of it makes both of them shine in a different light and makes every dynamic better.

What is not discussed nearly enough in fandom is what happens when there is too much drama and the show tries to overuse it just to stay relevant.

That's exactly what fans feel happened to Maddie and Chimney in 911, and that's exactly what they don't want to see in the upcoming season 7.

Of course, the sudden move of the show from FOX to ABC is a bit scary, but the viewers are sure that it will bring more positive changes than negative ones.

One of the changes they'd like to see is a period of happiness and stability for Maddie, Chimney, and their daughter Jee-Yun.

Throughout the years the show was on the air, the couple went a long way, full of hardships and sorrows.

However, the way the writers managed to portray their relationship, even while they were separated and then reunited, kept both Maddie and Chimney popular with fans.

It's a rare occasion when the show doesn't make viewers choose sides, and that's what was appreciated the most.

Although season 6 was quite quiet for them, fans were still afraid that something would happen. Instead, the couple bought a house, agreed to get married, and came out stronger than before.

Of course, the proposal didn't go as planned and both Chim and Maddie had their doubts, but there was nothing so scary that could have torn them apart.

The only thing the audience wants in season 7 is for it to stay that way. There has been a lot of trauma in their relationship, and if anything, they both deserve a cold, beautiful ending and at least some time of domestic bliss.

Whether or not the writers would agree with the viewers is still up in the air. As of now, there is no official premiere date for 911 season 7 on ABC, but the show is among the others being held for midseason due to the writers' strike.

Keep your eyes peeled for more news.
