ABC now has to deal with what FOX has left.

If there is one thing that was obvious right after the horrible ending of season 6, it is that neither Buckley and Natalia nor Eddie and Marisol are going to stay together.

Judging by the terrible reception from the audience and the inevitable move to another network, the writers will do whatever it takes to keep the show afloat. Including breaking up the couples that just don't belong together.

Of course, the majority of #Buddie shippers are not even hoping to see these two end up together. However, their current relationship seems too out of nowhere and repetitive to keep going.

Eddie's inconsequential love story happens to be the same one he had with all of his previous girlfriends. Buck's, on the other hand, has something refreshing about it, but doesn't seem to have much potential.

The question that is bothering the fans isn't even if they will break up, they care more about when and how it will happen.

Considering the fact that the future doesn't look too bright for any of ABC's dramas, as they are all facing shorter seasons due to the writers strike, there is a huge possibility of an off-screen breakup for at least one of the couples.

Eddie and Marisol, who, let's face it, don't even have that much chemistry together, are the best candidates for that.

Of course, that would mean that Eddie Diaz would be sidetracked once again and Buck would be the center of attention, but that's the trend that's been going on for a couple of seasons now and doesn't show any signs of stopping.

Natalia's motives and interest in Buck go beyond his personality and lie in his near-death experience, so the development of her story could be much more interesting to watch.

Although 911 fans don't really believe that someone's death can be a solid basis for a relationship, it could make for an entertaining story.

Whether or not ABC will rush to fix FOX's mistakes and finally give the fans what they've been asking for for 6 years, we'll have to wait and see. 911 is not scheduled to return with season 7 until 2024, so stay tuned for more news and updates.
