A big aspect of An Offer from a Gentleman, the original novel, is Sophie's struggle to go through life as a woman. She faces all kinds of abuse, rooted in both classism and misogyny.

In one such situation, she fears for her life, but Benedict comes through, rescues her, and makes sure she gets to safety. At last, we may get to see the ever-smiling, gentle and humorous second brother snap and show his teeth.

Although it is not a specific moment, but rather a very important location, fans hope and pray that the writers will not try to change the story and get rid of it.

My Cottage is a country house owned by Benedict Bridgerton. It is quite far from Mayfair and is mostly occupied by a sweet couple, a housekeeper, and her husband. Benedict and Sophie find shelter from the storm and thus the romance begins.

After being banished from the house, she has to find a job and ends up in a tricky situation that Benedict saves her from. However, when she's moved into Violet's dowager house to become Eloise's maid, she has to face the family that tortured her again.

It is by no means a sweet or happy moment, but an extremely important one for her character development.

Violet has always been the most understanding mother to her children, and Benedict is no exception. She is quick to notice the feelings between him and Sophie, and has the most heartfelt conversation with Sophie when she decides she can no longer work under her roof.

The bond between Violet and Sophie is almost as special as her bond with Benedict, and Bridgerton must do justice to it.

Violet Bridgerton is also crucial to the very finale of the book. She quickly puts Sophie's stepmother in her place and secures the couple the future of love and happiness they deserve.
