Both the Washington Post and Vanity Fair placed this limited series on their top 10 list for 2017.

To call Cowboy Bebop a 'Western' doesn’t really cover it. The classic show is really a 'Neo-Noir Space-Opera Anime Western', and it wears all those badges with pride.

In this world, 'Cowboys' are another name for bounty hunters. Spike Spiegel and his partner Jet Black pilot the good ship Bebop and chase criminals through the solar system to claim their reward. Meanwhile, Spike's past with the head of an evil crime syndicate is always lurking in the shadows.

8. Song of the Bandits (2023 - ? )

Made in South Korea and released on Netflix, Song of the Bandits is set in the 1920s, when Korea was occupied by oppressive Japanese forces. Some flee to the Gando region, where rebellious fighters are determined to protect their homeland.
