Starring Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer as the main characters, the show centers on a world of magic, which of course includes all the fantasy creatures like witches, vampires, and demons. They all live a secret life among ordinary people and try to keep their heritage hidden.

The series revolves around Diana Bishop, a witch who befriends a vampire named Matthew Clairmont in order to uncover all the secrets of her ancestors' lives and save herself from the dangers the new world can bring to someone like her.
