A comedy murder mystery with a twist. Will Arnett plays bumbling detective Terry Seattle. Terry is in the middle of divorce proceedings from police chief Rhonda (played by Haneefah Wood).

Each week, Rhonda assigns her estranged husband a 'rookie' to work with on a murder case. Each of these 'rookies' is a special guest who has no script, but must try to determine the killer's identity. It's a mixture of murder mystery, reality TV and game show. But most of all, it's entertaining.

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 78%

1 season, 10 episodes

An adult animated crime comedy about LGBTQ+ superspies.

Now, it's worth pointing out that the show came under some criticism for being rather crude. So if that's not your thing, you may want to give it a miss. However, it wasn't entirely planned by the LGBTQ+ community.

The plot revolves around a gay superspy who is ostracised after revealing his sexuality and decides to form Q-Force – an LGBTQ+ group of superspies who are forced to accept a straight man into their team.

Canadian stand-up comedian Russell Peters stars as Doug D'Mello, who takes a month off to visit his father in Mumbai. While there, he becomes involved in a local murder investigation.

Tony Danza and Josh Groban star as a father and son who live together. Groban plays Anthony "TJ" Caruso Jr, a hard-working police lieutenant who does everything by the book. His father, Tony Sr, has just served 7 years for corruption.

While he's banned from working with the police, Tony Sr. is determined to get back into the fight against crime. A great cast of supporting characters and some top notch writing make this show well worth watching.

Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman star as three ordinary Michigan mothers with financial problems. To solve their money problems, they decide to rob a supermarket. But it's not as straightforward as they had hoped.

Apart from being identified by the store manager, the girls hadn't realised that the store was a front for a criminal gang. To add to their problems, one of the girls is married to a cop. But he's under pressure to help them avoid arrest.

1. The InBESTigators

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 95%

2 seasons, 40 episodes

This Australian crime mockumentary won critical acclaim and the 2020 Achievement in Casting Award.

It follows a group of four kids as they solve crimes in their local area, including their school. It's superbly written, with plenty of jokes and a good mix of characters to keep things interesting.

At just 15 minutes per episode, not giving it a go would be criminal.
