Some shows just need to be left alone because their reboots feel like an insult to the series' memory, but we are not here to talk about them. Let's look on the bright side, shall we?

On extremely rare occasions, the creator does something right, resulting in the revival of our dreams. Here are seven examples for you!

7. Fuller House

Full House defined the family sitcom genre in the '80s and the '90s and made many of its stars famous. Fuller House lived up to the original show's glory (and brought back many of our faves).

Maybe it was Jeff Franklin's involvement in both shows that made them work, or maybe it was something else – either way, Uncle Jesse was a sight for sore eyes on both!

6. Girl Meets World

Much like its predecessor, Girl Meets World took a simple concept of a teenager learning about the world and made it into something fascinating to watch (too bad it was canceled way before its time).

Boy Meets World was groundbreaking in the '90s for its portrayal of the struggles of teens and young adults, and its revival followed in its footsteps gracefully.

5. How I Met Your Father

How I Met Your Father took a bold step and revived a show that ended less than a decade ago, and so far, it has paid off.

How I Met Your Mother had us pondering the answer to the main question for nine years, and it looks like its reboot can easily do the same. Plus, we get a glimpse into some of the oldies' lives!

4. iCarly

iCarly was at the forefront of blogging in the 2000s. That era is long gone, and no one thought it would be possible to bring that series back with the same quirky vibe (after all, everyone is a blogger now), and yet, here we are.

The revival show has captured the essence of the original and added the spice that adult characters needed.

3. And Just Like That…

Sex and the City gave so many women the confidence they needed to talk about taboo things that it was truly one-of-a-kind.

Many weren't happy with the revival because it lacked the original show's risqué atmosphere, but And Just Like That… is actually pretty accurate in what would happen to the characters.

After all, the gang is in their 50s now, they can't live like they did when they were 30!

2. One Day at a Time

Honestly, we are willing to argue that the reboot is even better than the original. The 1975 show was a hit and ran for nine seasons – something that the revival didn't enjoy.

Despite the fact that the 2017 reboot was praised by critics, One Day at a Time was still prematurely canceled after only four seasons. We need more Rita Moreno…

1. Doctor Who

The British phenomenon of a show originally ran from 1963 to 1989, and it was an instant hit. In 2005, it was brilliantly revived, and we have never looked back. We are now on the Fourteenth Doctor, and there are no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Doctor Who is the best example of a revival done right.

We know you are pissed that The Office is not on here, but it's only because it's so great that other shows don't stand a chance on the same list. It was intentional!
