Because we don’t have all the time in the world!

The magic of the South Korean industry is something that deserves to be praised. It really has it all: the most gripping thrillers, light-hearted romantic comedies, fantasy stories with monsters of all kinds...

The best thing about K-dramas is that they're usually not too long, so you can enjoy every second of them and there's not too much time for long, boring side-plots. But there are shows that have just the right number of episodes for a one-night binge. Here are some of them.

1. One Sunny Day (2014)

Let's start with this old school K-drama. In the center of this series is a young, heartbroken and extremely handsome man named Kim Ji Ho and his slow journey to believe in love again. He comes to Jeju Island for some work, but ends up in a very interesting situation.

The thing is, he keeps running into a young woman named Kim Ji Ho, who obviously has a crush on him. It was an unfortunate robbery that finally brought them together. This K-drama has only 10 episodes with 12 minutes each, so you'll be done before you know it.

2. The School Nurse Files (2020)

We always say it: no one mixes genres better than the South Korean TV industry! Our favorite subgenre that comes from it is the supernatural romantic comedy. The School Nurse Files centers on a young woman named Ahn Eun Young and from the show’s title it’s easy to find out her occupation. However, she has a special power that helps her see people’s true feelings.

But with that she can also see jelly-like spirits, who sometimes turn out to be dangerous for humanity. Eun Young finds help in her colleague, Hong In Pyo, who also has a gift, and together they fight the evil. And there’s only six episodes to binge!

3. You Drive Me Crazy (2020)

This is another perfect short watch for a fun evening. The story at the center of the drama is very simple, yet compelling enough to force you to watch it all in one sitting. It revolves around two friends who, despite 8 years of trying to stay best friends, still end up in the same bed.

Now that the genie is out of the bottle, they have to decide what they want from each other. The four episodes of this series are enough to develop the story perfectly and give us a satisfying finale.

4. Black Knight (2023)

Are there any dystopia fans? Don’t hide away from this amazing 6-episode K-drama featuring Kim Woo. The series is set in 2071 and the earth is nothing like we know it. It is now impossible to live on it because of the serious air pollution, and the only hope is on the group called Black Knights, who deliver oxygen to people.

“I enjoyed it. If you like sci-fi it's definitely worth the watch. It’s also an incredibly quick watch at only 6 episodes. I liked the world building and the costumes were pretty fun,” Redditor electronicthesarus said.

5. D.P. (2021)

Another 6-episode K-drama that is definitely worth your time is this one. It is about a young man named Jun Ho. He is a private soldier who unexpectedly becomes a member of the military defector arrest team. Now he has to catch deserters and has to face many moral dilemmas along the way.

6. My Name (2021)

This K-drama has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, so you know it's worth watching. The series revolves around a young girl, Yoon Ji Woo, who joins a criminal group to take revenge after the murder of her father.

She goes undercover as a police officer to help her new boss, but ends up discovering more dark secrets and new enemies. The series only lasts 6 episodes, so we think you'll be begging for more when it's over.

7. The Forbidden Marriage (2022)

The Forbidden Marriage is a rom-com set in a fictional Joseon era that follows King Lee Heon. When his beloved crown princess died seven years ago, he decided never to marry. One day though his life is turned upside down when he meets a cruel trickster named So-rang.

The woman claimed that she can be possessed by the spirit of the deceased woman. Will the King believe in that to meet the love of his life once again?

“Love love LOVE The Forbidden Marriage! It’s perfect for a vacation binge, if you’re in a rom-com mood. The costumes, comedic timing of the actors (especially the King’s), the balance between comedy and drama - it was surprisingly, highly enjoyable,” Redditor waterfallen_empire said.
