Aaand cut!

Sometimes, even mistakes can be the source of moments of brilliance that enhance the final product.

From iconic lines to memorable scenes, here are 7 on-set mistakes that made their way into the final cut.

1. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Viggo Mortensen injected real pain into his performance in a scene where his character, Aragorn, believes Merry and Pippin are dead. When the actor kicks a helmet and falls to his knees in agony, Mortensen actually broke two toes and his real scream of pain was captured by director Peter Jackson, who decided to keep this powerful scream in the movie.

2. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

The movie, which is based on the Marvel Comics superheroes of the same name and is the sequel to 2015's Ant-Man, has a very enduring mistake that wasn't cut. In a hilarious moment, an employee at a coffee shop accidentally mistakes Ant-Man for Spider-Man, causing the actor to unintentionally mix up the two MCU characters.

3. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

In the scene where Andrew Garfield webs Gwen onto the hood of a police car, it wasn't scripted for Gwen to scream at him. The unexpected nature of Emma Stone 's reaction to actually revealing Spider-Man's real name in front of tons of people was so genuine that it was decided to keep it in the final cut.

4. The Hateful Eight

When Kurt Russell's character smashes a valuable antique guitar in a moment of unexpected violence, the shock on Jennifer Jason Leigh's face felt real for a reason. The 145-year-old guitar, valued at $40,000, was on loan from a Martin Guitar Museum and was supposed to be exchanged for a replica to be destroyed, but as we can see, something went completely wrong.

5. Titanic

Long before Leonardo DiCaprio 's infamous Django Unchained accident, the actor unintentionally made another movie mistake that made it into the final cut. During the scene in Titanic where Jack was about to draw Rose like one of his French girls, Leonardo DiCaprio stumbled over his lines, and instead of saying, "Lie on the couch," accidentally said, "Lie on the bed," making his character look even more adorable and charming.

6. Rain Man

Barry Levinson's road drama thrives on the chemistry between its leads, and the memorable scene that exemplifies this takes place in a phone booth, where Raymond ad-libs an "Uh, oh fart" triggered by Dustin Hoffman's accidental gas release. In fact, Hoffman considered it his favorite moment of his entire acting career, surpassing even his experiences performing Shakespeare on stage.

7. Scream

In a 1996 slasher film, Billy accidentally hits Stu with the phone during a final kitchen scene. Due to the stickiness caused by the fake blood, Skeet Ulrich's hand got stuck to the phone, and both he and Matthew Lillard, who played Stu, didn't hesitate and delivered an iconic scene.
